Rotary Encoder with Push Button, EC11 rotary encoder
EC11 Rotary Encoder with Push Button, 15 Pulse 30 Position / 20 Pulse 20 Position, 5V Through-hole Encoder
Product Description
This EC11 through-hole incremental rotary encoder supports 360-degree free rotation with integrated push button function. It is widely used for volume adjustment, parameter setting, speed regulation and menu selection for Arduino, single-chip microcomputer and other control projects. It has multiple configurable options: forward code for clockwise rotation or reverse code for counter-clockwise rotation; two shaft styles including D-type half-round shaft and knurled flower shaft; available shaft lengths: 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm. Two pulse specifications are optional: 15 pulses with 30 positioning points, or 20 pulses with 20 positioning points. The encoder works at DC 5V, outputs A and B quadrature signals to identify rotation direction and rotation count. External pull-up resistors and filter capacitors can be connected according to the wiring diagram for stable signal output. Suitable for DIY controller, audio equipment, instrument panel, digital display, motor speed control and electronic experiment projects.

FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between 15 pulse 30 positioning and 20 pulse 20 positioning?
A: 15 pulse version outputs 15 pulses per circle with 30 detent positions; 20 pulse version outputs 20 pulses per circle with 20 detent positions.
Q2: What do forward code and reverse code mean?
A: Forward code outputs standard A/B phase sequence for clockwise rotation; reverse code swaps the phase sequence for counter-clockwise rotation.
Q3: What are the two shaft types?
A: D-type half round shaft and knurled flower shaft, for different knob installation requirements.
Q4: Does this encoder include a push button?
A: Yes, it has a built-in push switch, which can realize confirm function by pressing down the shaft.
Q5: How to get stable signal?
A: Follow the wiring schematic, match 10K pull-up resistors and 0.01uF filter capacitors to suppress signal jitter.
